Mindfulness for Life 21-Day Experience
Companion Book

With Meditation & Mindful Movement Educator

Terry J. Hodgkinson

A 42-chapter companion resource created to deepen the teachings, themes, and daily practices of the

Mindfulness for Life journey.

A Personal Note from Terry

This Companion Book has been created with care, reflection, and many hours of thought. Each chapter was written to support the daily practice, but also to offer something deeper than instruction alone. Within these pages, I share teachings, reflections, and some personal experiences gathered through many years of meditation, mindful movement, teaching, travel, and living the practices in everyday life.

The pictures throughout the book were all taken by me in different places I have travelled. Each image was chosen and placed with care, so that it would support the feeling, theme, and inner direction of the chapter it accompanies.

These photographs are more than decoration. They can also be used as quiet doorways into contemplation and meditation. You may wish to simply gaze at them with an open mind, allowing the image to settle your attention, soften your thoughts, and invite a more spacious kind of seeing.

Much thought has gone into the design of this book, from the flow of each chapter to the placement of the images, reflections, and practices. My hope is that it becomes not only something you read, but something you return to, sit with, and allow to speak to you in different ways over time.

The Companion Book as a Living Guide

As one of the four core components of the Mindfulness for Life 21-Day Experience, the Companion Book offers written guidance, reflection, and deeper understanding for each day of the program.

This digital component includes 21 core chapters and 21 supplemental short reflections, created to support the guided audio meditations, journal work, and Seven Harmonies Qigong practices.

Each chapter explores one of the central themes of the program, including awareness, breath, sound and stillness, mantra, acceptance, the senses, inner dialogue, mindful movement, impermanence, emotional resilience, pain management, perception, nature, joy, and integration.

The Companion Book is designed to help you understand not only what you are practising, but why it matters. It offers context, insight, and gentle encouragement as you move through the 21-day journey.

Throughout the book, you’ll find teachings, practical reflections, personal insights, and original photographs that invite you to pause, look more deeply, and connect the practice to your own life.

This is a book to read slowly. A chapter can be explored before or after each audio meditation, revisited during journalling, or used as a quiet contemplative practice on its own. Each page is an invitation to listen inwardly, reflect honestly, and bring mindfulness into the living rhythm of your day.

Continue your Mindfulness for Life journey through deeper study, guided listening,

or the complete four-component experience.
